IKEA Linköping searches for a Visual Merchandiser / Activity Manager to join our team at the Communication- and Interior Design department.

As a Visual Merchandising Manager at IKEA Linköping we offer you a role where you get to develop both people and the shopping experience for our visitors and thereby contribute to position the IKEA brand, the IKEA store as a destination in our market and inspire customers with home furnishing solutions that appeal to the dreams, needs and wallets of the many people. Your main tasks will be, together with your Visual Merchandiser team, offer our visitors the most inspiring shopping experience, working with visual merchandising, always presenting our product range in a commercial and inspiring way- with IKEA's conceptual standard and local knowledge in mind.

You will be responsible for implementing, planning and lead projects and product launches in our department store - creating a market that, through our range of products and store layout, reflects current trends and seasons. Realizing these changes takes time and you’ll need to think in the long-term in project you’re leading. For example, planning and preparations for our Christmas launch started back in June in order to secure such a smooth transition as possible.

You will collaborate, coordinate and engage a lot with colleagues in your department (Interior Design and Graphic communication) as well as all other functions in the store (Sales, Logistic and Customer experience and FOOD), you see it is in this intersection we together create, not only esthetically appealing solutions, but also commercial and easily maintainable solutions. This gives you an opportunity to deepen your expertise even further and become more commercial and strategic in our ways of working.

You are a value based leader who leads by example and communicates in a transparent and a straight forward manner.

We are looking for you who has a formal education and multiple years of experience within the field of Visual Merchandising. Preferably, you have previous experience as a leader.

Furthermore:
• you are creative, willing to learn and work with colleagues, eager to create an inspiring range of presentations and solutions, always with the IKEA conceptual framework as a guiding star.
• you are fascinated by retail, you enjoy a fast pace working environment, where decisions are taken here and now, and actions are done in a day. In short you want your every day to be different.
• you can navigate well around flexibility and ambiguity and have the skills to prioritize and organize own work as well as influence others to meet deadlines. In short you have leadership skills.
• you are leading people, create team spirit and by coaching lifting the team members to their next level.
• you are fluent in English and Swedish
